Almost every park in Sydney has free public grills. We get there early to claim one and do the shopping — you just show up.
It usually runs from midday to sunset: some people play cards, some lie in the sun, one person inevitably guards the grill the whole time.
How it works
- Fill in the form below — you do not need a group to sign up
- We add you to the activity group on WeChat
- The group votes on a time and a venue nearby
- Numbers are confirmed the day before, and we go once we have enough people
What to bring
- We do the shopping and split the bill evenly afterwards
- Tell us about dietary needs in the notes and we will cater for them separately
- Bringing a dish or drinks of your own is very welcome
